MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – September 18, 2017 5:00 PM

Ruth discussed the possibilities of a “visit with Santa” afternoon. She felt serving hot chocolate with cookies could be served while the children visit with Santa. Ruth will organize the event for afternoon of December 9th.
Ed updated the Selectboard on the culvert/bridge replacement of Colebrook River Road. Foresight Land Service is looking into the approval and the process of a sleeve insert.
Ed received a quote from Bill Magni for varies concrete work to be done at the Public Safety Complex. The concrete pads in front of the fire doors will have to be reviewed and budgeted for possible next fiscal year.
The framing of the windows and doors at the new DPW are currently being constructed.
The Tolland Police Department schedule a Halloween party for Saturday, October 28th.
A discussion was had about the placement of a playscape to be located at the Public Safety Complex. Eric wanted to be sure that a gazebo was taken into consideration.
Jim Deming, Planning Board informed the board of the Tolland Zoning ByLaw for Marijuana. The Bylaw will be submitted to legal counsel for review and then presented to the town for a vote of acceptance.
Jim also explained the “Special Permit” process.
Dates for a caucus and special election will be discussed with the Town Clerk for the position of a Selectboard member.
